From 3D to 2D

A little insight into my process.

How a card goes from a loose sketch to a sculpt, a render and finally a painting.

From sketch to card: Perennial Apprentice

A Flowerfolk wizard from the Floral faction. Every card I make starts as a loose sketch in Procreate. From there I sculpt the character in Nomad Sculpt, pose, light, and render it. Then bring the render back into Procreate and paint over it for the final illustration.

From sketch to card: Stonehorn Commander

A Beetlekin soldier who rallies the familiars in his row. Every card I make starts as a loose sketch in Procreate. From there I sculpt the character in Nomad Sculpt, pose, light, and render it. Then bring the render back into Procreate and paint over it for the final illustration.
